With the new year comes new resolutions and new goals. For us at the Fisher, it means a newly redesigned web site.

We've spent the past year reworking the site's overall look and feel. More important, however, is that we've made some changes to improve its functionality. One of the main changes is that searches on the site default to holdings held only at the Fisher. (If you want to search across the entire University of Toronto Libraries system, that's still doable: simply unclick the "Fisher only" box.) Researchers also still have the option of doing more advanced searches by clicking on the Advanced Catalgoue Search feature next to the main search box, along with the Classic Catalogue search. Also in that menu is a direct link to our Modern Manuscripts holdings, along with our online Stack Retrieval Form. Our hugely popular Instagram site is displayed prominently on the home page - but don't forget to visit our other social media sites: Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and YouTube (you'll find the icons on the home page). The new site also gives more prominence to our extensive collection of audio recordings of our past Friends of Fisher lectures, which are now available on SoundCloud.

There may be a few quirks on the site as we continue to make improvements, so we thank you in advance for your patience. If you have some feedback, please provide it.
