These workshops offer a beginner-friendly introduction to programming that blends instruction with in-class activities that help you learn through practice.

In Part 1, we’ll cover:

How to use Jupyter Notebooks to run Python code
The basics of Python programming language
How to write your first functions and programs
Where to find additional resources

In Part 2, we’ll move on to:

Additional data structures: lists and dictionaries
Using boolean operators to control flow
How to work with text strings
Reading and writing files

There’ll be time at the end of questions and discussion.
